I have learned some really important lessons in the last couple weeks and I always want to remember them. So, here they are in no particular order.
1. Summer school is worth getting up when you know all the other teachers are still sleeping. The kids work hard, you learn a lot, and you get off at 1:00, and you make good money. It's cushy.
2. Sometimes friends fall out of our lives, and then all of a sudden when you least expect it, they come back in. I am
grateful for this.
3. There are friends in my life who understand that life is busy and crazy and they are still my friend. Even if I don't call them or text them for weeks. They are just patient and when I finally do get a hold of them it's like no time has passed in between and we're right back to where we were. I am super
grateful for this.
4. Yesterday was a rough day for me. Something came up that I thought I was prepared to deal with, and wasn't. I've learned that I might have to accept the fact that some people will never be out of my life, even if I do everything to make them be. I might just have to be fine with it--but that's definitely easier said than done.
5. I love my mom. There is really no need to explain this one. But when something like what happened yesterday comes up, my mom is always my rock. She has million dollar advice. She always loves me. She never judges. If I come close to being as good a mom as she is, I will be lucky. Pretty sure I was blessed with an amazing family.
