Boyfriend of the Year

Ok ladies. I know you think you have the best man, but I have news for you. If there were an award for boyfriend of the year, Justin would be the winner. He wouldn't only win the award this year, but last year and next year (after that he will be HUSBAND of the year!!) He is so sweet to me. He just lets me be me and thinks I am perfect. He will act goofy with me anytime. We have so much fun together! I love him!!

Jordon's Famous Raspberry Shakes

Ok I have to admit it. I've had a lot of shakes in my life. But Jordon Lindsay makes the best Raspberry shake I have ever eaten. I'm pretty sure its a big reason why I'm marrying into their family. They are delicious, and I think we all agree that they are the best. Obviously, as you can tell from their faces, Kort and Baylee love them too! Thanks Jord!! What are we gonna do next summer when he is on his mission??

Swimming!

Saturday, Kellie and I went to Layton and shopped all day. It was such a great, and badly needed, day off! When we got back, everyone wanted to go to the pool, so we changed from shopping mode to swimming mode! It was a blast!

24th of July Parade

We also went to the 24th of July parade. It was a little sunny so Kort and Baylee had their princess umbrellas. I love the pose, Kort!

After the zoo, the kids, and Jake, Justin, and Jordon, went and played on the playground and then we went and looked through the booths at Willow Park. Kort even got up the courage to slide down the huge inflatable slide! It was really fun.

On the 24th of July, we went to a breakfast at Willow Park and then walked over to the zoo. It was so fun to go with Jake and Kellie and the little girlies.

Harley Rides

My most favorite thing about having summers with Justin is Harley rides. We have been lots of different places and had lots of delicious shakes in Bear Lake!! Seriously, what girl wouldn't want to hold on to her hunky man as she drives off into the sunset on a Harley? These are the things trashy romance novels are made of!

Big Sky, Montana

The weekend of July 10th, we went to Montana to visit Jordan and to have a little vacation. We went with Cody, Kyle, and Jordan's wife Kate. Jordan is living there for the summer while doing an internship at the golf course in Big Sky. What a beautiful place! Ok, I know Justin was salivating over the thought of getting to live there and fish and hike and see as many moose and bears as you ever would want to, but sadly, he is marrying the wrong girl for that. It was pretty, for a weekend. Living in a town with only one grocery store is not my kinda place. Plus, on a walk one morning, we looked at a house that was for sale: only about 2.5 million. Justin got to fish a lot though, and we all went for a hike that darn near killed me but I did survive. Kate and I didn't want to go fishing, so we stayed at Jordan's place and watched Harry Potter. I kinda regretted my decision to stay back when i found out they saw a bear! Bummer. I always miss the good stuff. It was a fun weekend!

Cruise in baby!!

Justin, once again, entered his truck in the Cruise In. Ok- I can pretend like I don't like it, but really, I love it. I love sitting out in the hot sun under the canopy and drinking cold drinks and shooting the breeze with our friends. I love looking at all the cool cars and trucks at the show. An added bonus is watching Justin's proud face as people make a huge fuss over his awesome truck because he put so much work into it. Of course the night of the cruise in we park the tow truck on main street and watch all the crazy people drive by. Pretty much a blast. We also took a break from the Cruise In this year for a couple hours and went to the 4th of July parade in Hyrum because Justin and Jake had to drive the tow truck in it for work. I pretty much love the fun stuff we do in the summer!!

4th of July goodness...

4th of July was so fun this year. The Lindsay fam went to the Logan Fireworks. It was pretty much a blast. There is nothing better than loving your in-law family as much as you love your own family!! Of course, Jake had to flip off the camera, but at least he was smiling!!

Last day of summer school wisdom

I have learned some really important lessons in the last couple weeks and I always want to remember them. So, here they are in no particular order.

1. Summer school is worth getting up when you know all the other teachers are still sleeping. The kids work hard, you learn a lot, and you get off at 1:00, and you make good money. It's cushy.

2. Sometimes friends fall out of our lives, and then all of a sudden when you least expect it, they come back in. I am grateful for this.

3. There are friends in my life who understand that life is busy and crazy and they are still my friend. Even if I don't call them or text them for weeks. They are just patient and when I finally do get a hold of them it's like no time has passed in between and we're right back to where we were. I am super grateful for this.

4. Yesterday was a rough day for me. Something came up that I thought I was prepared to deal with, and wasn't. I've learned that I might have to accept the fact that some people will never be out of my life, even if I do everything to make them be. I might just have to be fine with it--but that's definitely easier said than done.

5. I love my mom. There is really no need to explain this one. But when something like what happened yesterday comes up, my mom is always my rock. She has million dollar advice. She always loves me. She never judges. If I come close to being as good a mom as she is, I will be lucky. Pretty sure I was blessed with an amazing family.
